Mt.Annapurna is a mountain located in the Annapurna range of Gandaki district in north-central Nepal. At 8,091 meters above sea level, it is the 10th highest mountain in the world and is well known for its difficulty and danger in climbing. Maurice Herzog led a French expedition to the summit from the north face in 1950, making it the first ever summit of 8000 meters.
